I want to purchase a new JD. I have been looking at the 4210 & 4310 models and R3 tires and the following attachments, 71”MMM, 430 loader and the 47” backhoe. The base prices are just about the same give or take $1000. We are moving into a new home with 4 1/2 acres. The primary role or the tractor will be for mowing 3 1/2 acers, secondary will be for snow removal for the 300ft driveway and landscaping the new home and third for my motocross track maintenance. I do not want to buy too big or to small of a tractor, but the dealer also recommended the JD 4115. I have gotten a couple of quotes for all three of the tractors an it looks to be from the mid $20,000 for the 4115 to $30,000 for 4210 or 4310. Will the 4210, 4310 be too big or will the 4115 do it? Need some advise??

The 4210 is a little underpowered for the frame size, so if you go with the larger machine the 4310 is a better bet. That said, my inclination is that you'd be happy with the 4115 for your needs. ....

Congrats on your purchase. I recently looked at the Deere models and felt the 4310 was a good model for doing the types of stuff you described. I think you will be happy with it. ....

I checked out your pics.. Nice!! How does your box scraper work? Can you use it just to rip up the ground and not grade? ....
